Anxiety
Anxiety Disorders are the most common mental illness in the United States, affecting 40 million adults. Although Anxiety Disorders are highly treatable only about one third of individuals impacted seek help. Individuals with an anxiety disorder are three times more likely to see a primary care physician and six times more likely to be hospitalized for psychiatric purposes than those who do not have this disorder.
There are several different types of anxiety disorders including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Social Phobias, Specific Phobias, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
